Spain,
Catalunya,
Red wine with a quite deep, ruby-red core, with a slight indication of age on the rim. Really ripe nose here, showing partially some aged maturity and also some high ripeness of the grapes. Leaning more towards the dried fruity notes; like prune, fig, dates, with some spicy notes and a hint of oak. Really broad palate here, full bodied, still with a tannic presence and dried fruity flavours, spicy elements like anise seed and liquorice. It certainly has length and a lot of power in there and I think it has just reached a good level of maturity, where the fruit is starting to settle. Really long finish actually opens up, and shows a really nice velvety finish, with plenty of that sweet fruit in there. So good drinking today.
