Dense dark inky core, some evolution on the rim. The nose is ripe and intense with plenty of dark fruit with cassis, dark cherry, plum some new oak and aromatic herbs like sage. The palate has an impressive concentration, really starting to open up with well concealed oak, fresh backbone of acidity, very dense but ripe tannin and lovely dark fruit like cassis and blackberry. Very long and lingering finish, a big wine with plenty of stuffing. Could easily be drunk today but should age for a very long time.
