France,
Champagne,
Sparkling wine, with a quite fine mousse. The colour is pink with a rather deep rosé colour, with a hint of copper. Nose starts out quite discreetly, I get some creamy notes here like butter, hint of almost like vanilla creme, then with some red berry fruit, red cherry, ripe pear. Nice creaminess on the palate, quite full style. I would say again, you feel this presence of Pinot in there, giving a slight sensation of a red wine. However it does have the freshness of classic Champagne with a nice creamy texture on the palate. Nice freshness in terms of acidity, with really persistent flavours of that red berry fruit on the finish. Good length, quite good gripe and a quite broad shouldered, and assertive rosé Champagne with a nice balance overall.
