France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine with a deep ruby-red colour, fairly youthful. Fresh nose with a quite high ripeness, offering red and dark fruits, plum, cassis, some spicy notes of aniseed and licorice. Good grip on the palate here, I think it’s a fine density with an emphasis on fruit; red and dark berries, like ripe cassis. No evident oak really. In terms of texture there’s plenty of tannin here but finely grained, well-integrated, giving a well-balanced freshness as well. Quite long finish. Classic style without evident oak but nice ripe fruit, good levels of freshness and ripe tannin. Classic and elegant style; still in a quite young phase, I would prefer to put it back for another few years in the cellar but it should develop really well.
