France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine with a very intense colour here, dark purple-blue core. Needs some air to open up, it is a quite classic nose here, showing a quite good level of ripeness with a lot of dark fruit, classic hints of cassis, leather, dark plum, some hints of graphite, and a gentle touch of oak. Palate has good weight, quite dense in terms of fruit; fresh dark plum, cassis, with some ripe herbs. No greenness, rather a ripe herbal spiciness. Tannins feel quite settled already, they’re present and they add freshness but they’re not hard in any way. No evident oak, and a quite long finish. A wine that will soon be approachable in my mind, and it should keep developing for the coming 8 to 10 years.
