Philipponnat – Cuvée 1522 Rosé – 2018

Champagne
, Premier Cru Extra Brut
MEDAILLE-TASTED-95-2024
France,
Champagne,
Bright and dark pink colour with a vivid fine mousse. Elegant, yet with fine intensity and power, chalky and earthy with wild strawberry, red berries, ginger, clove, roasted hazelnut, nougat and fresh butter. The palate is on the fuller side, nicely creamy with soft mousse and well-kept acidity, combining rather ripe fruit with a nicely restrained acidity, layers of ginger-spiced raspberry, peach, and nougat, with plenty of volume and a very long, grippy finish.
