Spain,
Rioja,
Red wine with a light towards medium deep ruby-red I would say, with a slight hint of development. The nose is showing some development here, quite traditional style with ageing in oak I would say. Some creamy notes of vanilla, then we have soft red fruit like ripe plum, roasted, and some mild spiciness. Very nice texture on the palate, a wine I would call already rounded, still quiet youthful in terms of freshness and fruit. We have notes of crushed plum and red berries here, but the tannins are well integrated and gives a quiet nice rounded mouth feel. Slight hint of oak in the background, but it is well concealed. Nice length as well, very juicy red fruit on the finish; with hints of some ginger, clove, white pepper and elegant red fruit. A wine that I think is drinking really nicely today, but definitely with a structure to continue to age and develop.
