Inky dark purple core and hue, some maturity on the rim. The nose shows fine development with intense sweet fruit, crushed red berries, some oak and oak derived spiciness with hints of aniseed, cardamom, vanilla and toast. The palate is generous and warming, yet underlined by a healthy dose of freshness, sweet and spicy fruit flavours, ripe but youthful tannin and a long nuanced finish.
