Good intensity and ripeness, some toasted notes, tar and smoke, yet not necessarily oak derived, rather modest wood, layers of inky dark fruit. Dense and voluminous palate with good layers, excellent freshness/ripeness balance, crushed cherry, cassis and blackberry with mild spiciness and a very long pure finish. Really nicely done.
