Dense purple core and a lighter rim. Still a youthful nose with some new oak, ripe fruit like wild berries, mild spices, tobacco and some chalky notes. The palate is dense and concentrated with high extract, yet a fine polish with refreshing acidity underneath, elegant blackberry and cassis flavours leading to a long finish. A finely crafted wine still needing some time to soften and reach its full potential.
