Château de Crouseilles – 2020

Dense inky core with a purple hue and slightly lighter on the rim. A rather youthful nose, displaying notes of dark plum, kirsch, bay leaf, tobacco and mild oak underneath. A dense and restrained palate with structure giving tannin of fine grain, blending darker fruit with some herbaceous and peppery flavours. A dense profile still needs further ageing or aeration to open but has good purity and density with satisfactory persistency.
