Dark garnet colour with a purple hue. Some oak and woody notes on the nose, dry spices, aniseed and liquorice with fresh plum and red berries. Medium weight, a slight tannic grip and firm texture, a fresh acidity with discreet red fruit notes, a hint of wood and medium towards long finish. A slightly austere style for long ageing.
