Dense dark purple core and a lighter rim. Pure nose with ripe dark fruit, crushed plum, red currant, dry spices some oak and white pepper. Still youthful palate but balanced with good weight, rather high tannin, and a long and vigorous finish. A wine still needing 1-2 years to open.
