Switzerland,
Vaud,
Red wine with a quite intense colour, dark ruby core, still with a hint of blue indicating youth. Rather longer nose here with some roasted wood, dark plummy notes, wild berries, some notes of vanilla. Dense core of fruit on the palate, rather full, still with a quite youthful texture; plenty of grainy tannin. There’s also some presence of the oak on the palate; but really nice fruit there, dark plum, wild berry notes, fine spices. Good freshness. Still a bit youthful and unresolved on the finish, we still have this youthful quite high acidity, in combination with the tannin, that gives a slightly dry finish if you drink it this young. However it’s a wine with a nice structure, which will doubtlessly age well, so I would recommend putting this away for another 2 years in the cellar.
