France,
Bordeaux,
Quite dark colour, very youthful here with blue-purple core, a slight ruby rim. Very fine nose here; elegant fruit, hints of wild berries, kind of mineral style, very good purity of fruit and very gentle oak. Very good bite here, silky fruit, juicy wild berry fruit, very grainy tannins, excellent freshness, finely tuned oak. Medium weight, a little bit more, but I think it’s really an emphasis on that juicy dark fruit. Very good persistence and purity. I really like this one. I would almost talk about a more Burgundian texture in terms of that finely spicy soft and juicy fruit, excellent purity, a mineral touch and a very long finish. Very good drinkability today, but certainly a style that will age well.
