Greece,
Peloponnese,
Very deep and intense colour, dark ruby with a purple hue. High intensity on the nose. Very ripe. High amounts of new oak. Roasted with vanilla and wood. Almost like stewed fruit, sweet cassis. Very dense on the palate almost with a sensation of sweetness. Quite high level of extraction and tannin. With a lot of present oak as well. There is a lot of dark fruit in there, but at this stage it still feels quite marked by that amount of ripeness. A hint of sweetness and a lot of oak wood and vanilla. It has a bold structure indeed. I do not think it is really ready. It should come around to develop a bit more nuance. I think the oak is dominating at present.
