Switzerland,
Vaud,
Slightly evolved rim, medium-deep ruby at the core. Some evolution on the nose too; slightly dried, slightly jammed fruit character. Some hints of spice box there, ginger, red berries and vanilla. Medium weight on the palate. Good emphasis on freshness, a mix of red and dark berries, sweet plum, with rather mild spices. No noticeable oak. Good grip, and a quite long finish. I still feel a hint of tannic bite on the finish. Ideally this could be put away for another one to two years, just for the tannins to soften a little bit. Otherwise this is a wine that has got nice layers of complexity now, with a fine spiciness and delicious red fruit
