Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Medium to high colour intensity, ruby-red core with a slight purple hint. A fine nose. Quite elegant oak there. There is a toastiness, there is some vanilla, some roasted coffee. With layers of dark fruit like black currant, plum, some mild spices. Very nice palate. Intense full-bodied, yet rounded. So we have those layers of dark fruit; of cassis and plum, with those mild spices. I like the underlined toastiness there, the roasted coffee notes. It is obviously a ripe wine, with a fairly high degree of ripeness and alcohol, but not in an obtrusive way. I like the freshness and brightness we get on the finish. Those purple juicy fruit, yet underlined by a fine acidity. Really elegant oak. Multi-layered. I think it is still a really youthful wine. I do consider it does have a certain complexity already. It will doubtlessly develop really well. Yeah, it is a really good one.
