Switzerland,
Vaud,
Youthful colour quite blue-purple appearing very young. The nose is on the floral side with some notes of violet, some rose petal and then dark fruit such as cassis and cherry. Palate is quite full-bodied, yet quite restrained. There is high extract, youthful tannin, high acidity. There is a little hint of oak noticeable on the palate. So a good density with attractive dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit. Quite long finish. It just seems a bit raw and unfinished. A wine that should deserve some more bottle ageing, because I think both the tannins and acidity are a bit elevated at this stage. Another two to four years in the cellar would probably do the job and round it off. It has the length and it has the density to go on and we will come back to it.
