Chile,
Elqui Valley,
Red wine with a medium deep ruby-red colour, some evolution on the rim. Fresh nose, quite aromatic, displaying rather red fruity aromas, such as raspberries, red plum. There is some herbal spiciness, with a touch of anise seed, some liquorice and not a lot of oak. Palate has a medium weight, it offers a slight sensation of sweetness. It is not really sweetness, but ripe grapes. So sweet fruit, with a slight layer of those anise like flavours, some herbal notes. The finish is medium long. And I would say, that this is a wine that is quite ripe, but still well balanced in terms of freshness. Soft tannin, quite enjoyable and fruit forward style, to drink in the coming years.
