Pelican Negru – Silk Red Blend – 2014

Dark ruby colour with a purple hue. Sweet and floral nose of red and dark berries with violet, mild spices and discreet (if any?) oak. The palate is medium to full with a rather rounded texture, still a slight tannic bite but no hard edges, juicy fruit with notes of freshly crushed berries, mild spices, a balanced freshness and a rather long finish. Nicely done in a more supple and rounded style.
