Predappio di Predappio – Vigna del Generale Riserva – 2011

Dense ruby core and a lighter rim. Some maturity on the nose, fairly intense aromas of dark cherry, dried fruit, tobacco, modest oak and some dry spices. The palate is rounded with dense fruit, ripe tannin, red and dark cherry flavours with tobacco and a mild spiciness, ripe and warm but a fresh acidity underneath. Good drinkability today with some complexity and evolution.
