Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Moderately intense colour slightly rusted rim with a ruby-red core. The nose is developed. It has some influence of oak, some tobacco, some leafy notes like, black tea, tobacco leaf and red currant fruit. The palate has medium weight, but a quite ridged backbone there. With at present, quite pronounced tannin. Still appearing a bit dry on the finish But quite good length, well-balanced acidity and moderate alcohol. A wine I still would recommend to put away for two more years or so. So it can round off the edges, for the tannins to settle and gain some more harmony and complexity.
