Very dense core and a lighter mature rim. The nose is intense with a balsamic spiciness, wild herbs, dark cherry and dried fruit notes. Very grippy and ample palate, plenty of tannin starting to soften, roasted tar notes, ripe dark cherry with peppery and herbal spiciness. Very long and distinct finish, a big wine, still with potential for long ageing.
