Unicorn Estate – Private Collection Symbioz Rara Neagra – 2009

Dense dark ruby core with a lighter mature rim. Mature nose, some evolution, dry spices, leather, cedar wood and dried dark fruit like prune with some balsamic notes. The palate is dense and tannic, still youthful with dense dark fruit, prune and fig notes, It does have length and a balanced freshness. A bit rather massive style requiring long ageing/or aeration to open. Yet complex and layered in an interesting personal style.
