Dark ruby, purple. The nose displays some dry spices, new wood and rather sweet fruit like stewed plum. Medium weight on the palate, slightly tannic sensation, generous fruit but still a bit on the tannic side, rather long but with an emphasis on extract rather than fruit, certainly needs time and should develop well.
