Alvi’s Drift – Albertus Viljoen – 2014

Worcester
MEDAILLE-TASTED-89-2024
South Africa,
Worcester,
Medium to deep golden colour. Very intense nose, high ripeness and generous oak with notes of pineapple, mango, caramel, roasted nuts and lemon curd. The palate is dense and rich with a viscous and bold texture rounded acidity, very high ripeness of fruit, with intense oak and a long powerful finish, far from the light and fresh, an assertive wine with plenty of stuffing, still needing time to calm down and for the oak to settle.
