Italy,
Piedmont,
Red wine with a medium-deep ruby core. Generous nose, there’s some hints there of leather, a hint of gaminess, some fresh meat, mild spices and plush fruit like sweet cherry. Palate I would say is classic medium-weight, with quite gentle tannin; it’s a rounder texture here, with juicy red fruit, some spicy notes, a hint of that leather meatiness. Good freshness on the finish, a rather long aftertaste. It’s a generous style of wine, I think it’s perfectly drinkable today, could probably be kept for a few years but it’s appearing quite welltoday.
