Still a youthful and inky dark purple colour. Intense nose showing sweet oak, roasted notes, dark fruit like plum and cassis. The palate has a rather high concentration and extraction with a firm tannic backbone, spicy notes of liquorice and aniseed, crushed plum and some meaty notes, anda good length. Still a bit youthful but balanced in a fleshy and modern style, should open up soon and drink well.
