Dark core with a mature ruby rim. The nose is pure and modern with some evolution showing mild spice and toast from oak ageing and darker fruit like sweet plum, cherry, and tobacco notes. Dense palate, still with a tannic presence, yet no hard edges, a fresh backbone of acidity, and layers of crushed berries, cassis, and mild oak spice. Long and lingering finish, ambitious with more potential for development.
