Portugal,
Peninsula de Setubal,
Very dark and inky colour, black-purple core. Fresh nose, quite floral with some violet and rose petal. There are hints of red and black currants. With cherry and herbal spiciness, like fresh mint. Very dense palate. Still appearing quite youthful, with a high extraction. Plenty of tannin. Still with a presence of oak. Quite elegant fruit there. Aromatic berries like red and blackcurrant. Herbal spiciness. Fresh acidity and a quite long finish. However, right now there is a lot of extraction, a lot of tannin that should certainly need quite a few years to loosen up. So we should put this back in the cellar for the coming years.
