Dense garnet core and a lighter ruby rim. Some maturity and complexity on the nose, yet dominated by vibrant fruit like dark cherry, plum, cocoa, mint and sage with mild oak underneath. The palate is dense and voluminous with good proportions, still rather youthful texture with refreshing, ripe tannin and a fresh acidity giving a lift to the unctuous fruit, long and lingering finish with notes of crushed cherry, tobacco and pepper.
