France,
Bordeaux,
Medium-deep, ruby-red colour, with a slight hint of purple at the core. Fresh nose, quite youthful, indicating fresh berries with crushed plum, blackcurrant, some pepper and a slight herbal spiciness. No indication of oak. Medium weight on the palate. It is still fairly youthful with quite restrained tannin. Rather high acidity. Juicy red fruit with red and blackcurrant notes, slight herbal spiciness. There is a hint of oak on the palate, but fairly well-integrated. Medium towards long finish. A wine that is still appearing a bit youthful and tight, but it should certainly develop, round off the edges in the coming one to two years. From then on it will have a fairly long life ahead of it.
