Dark garnet core and hue. Pure youthful nose, ripe dark fruit, cassis, plum, leather, graphite and some oak-derived spice. Dense palate, ripe with a tannic presence, crushed dark fruit with dry spices, long finish, a traditional more stern style but nice ripeness from this vintage.
