Château d’Anglès – Grand Vin – 2013

La Clape
MEDAILLE-TASTED-94-2024
France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Dense dark ruby colour with a purple core. Very intense and complex nose with layers of fine tobacco, leather, ripe dark fruit, pepper, clove, cedar wood and some roasted/smoky notes. The palate is dense and vibrant with layers of fresh dark fruit, cassis, and plum with spicy and peppery notes. High level of tannin but ripe and integrated contributing to structure and length, very intense and lingering finish with nice layers, bright dark fruit and excellent persistency. Could still improve and soften but superb potential.
