Dark inky core and a maturing ruby rim. Pure and intense nose starting to show some mature complexity - tobacco, truffle, fine wood, ripe dark fruit, cassis, plum and violet. The palate shows good density and ripeness with digest dark fruit, some herbal mint and sage notes, plentiful but ripe tannin, finely integrated wood and a long lingering finish. Good drinkability today.
