Dense core and a mature ruby rim. Fine development on the nose, leather, tobacco, dried herbs and sweet red fruit. The palate is dense and concentrated starting to soften still with a tannic presence but harmonious to drink, a fresh backbone, savoury red berry and cassis flavours leading to a long aftertaste.
