Italy,
Piedmont,
Sparkling wine, with a rather light straw colour, fairly youthful mousse. Pure nose; it’s showing a hint of evolution, there’s some leesy notes going on there, with some wood - not really wood, but the sensation of dry wood, spices, almond; I’m not sure it’s oak-aged. Then we have quite firm yellow fruit, like barely ripe apricot. We get some citrus, grapefruit as well. Bone-dry palate, good grip; it has a slight tannic sensation to it, I would call it zesty like freshly ground lemon zest, with some notes of pear, barely ripe peach. The mousse is well integrated as well. The acidity here is quite rounded, mellow. I think it’s not really young, it has got some evolution; showing a certain complexity and a medium towards long finish I would say.
