Inky dark purple core and a lighter rim. The nose is intense and pure with fine oak, floral dark fruit, cassis, kirsch, tobacco and fine spices. The palate has an excellent bite with fine proportions, polished tannin, a fresh acidity, layers of floral dark fruit and crème de cassis, and a lingering and nuanced finish. Very good.
