Italy,
Piedmont,
The colour is quite light and rather orange tawny, with a slightly watery rim. Pure nose, yet with some aged characters like dried fruit, dried cherry. There is a spiciness like orange zest, plum, some tobacco. Some spicy notes like anise seed and herbs. Palate keeps within the medium-bodied frame. It is showing some roasted oak on the palate. Tannins are fairly integrated considering the style. There is still a good level of extract and bite here. In terms of fruitiness, I think we have already developed flavours like, dried or candied red fruit, with that spiciness of pepper, clove and orange zest. Quite a long finish. A wine that should open up nicely within the coming two to three years. Then keep for much longer than that.
