Dark core and a tawny rim. The nose shows some evolution but no oxidation, intense sweet fruit notes - plum, cherry cassis, dry spices and mild oak. The palate is dense and shows a good level of maturity, present but ripe tannin, sweet dark fruit flavours with a mature spiciness, warm and long finish.
