Switzerland,
Ostschweiz,
Quite pale colour here, good development, light ruby-red. Fine nose here, quite elegant. Combining red fruit, such as; raspberry and red currant, with some spicy notes such as clove, ginger, a hint of earthiness, white pepper, very discreet wood. In terms of aromas, it is quite intense, with a certain level of complexity already. Very subtle palate here, silky texture. Good bite and gripe. There is finely polished tannin in the background. Fresh acidity. Very elegant and juicy red fruit underlined by that spiciness. Long and lingering finish. Really subtle, juicy and attractive. It is still a quite young wine but I think the drinkability is perfect. This is very much a style I like to enjoy a lot. It should, however, easily continue to develop for another ten years. So a very fine example.
