Austria,
Burgenland,
Moderate colour intensity here, ruby-red starting to loose some of that youthful colour. The nose indicates some evolution as well. It is rather now, it is a hint of smoke, with a mix of red and dark berries. Quite mild and sweet spiciness. Moderate amounts of oak. Also some secondary aromas here, slight touch of leather, tobacco. Medium weight on the palate. Nice sensation of sweetness here. This has gotten some maturity. Quite rounded texture. Still with a good dose of freshness. Mild spices there with pepper, ginger, some liquorice. Good substance and length. I really think this has reached a good plateau of drinkability, but should continue to develop for another five to six years.
