Austria,
Wiener Wein,
So a red wine with a quite moderate colour, developed light to medium ruby-red. Displays a quite elegant nose here. Elegant red fruit, some floral hints, wild berries, raspberry. There are some fine spices there, such as pepper, vanilla, cardamom. No noticeable oak really, very much in this quite feminine direction of Pinot Noir I would say. Palate has medium weight, I would say quite full for Pinot Noir. With good density, but it has gotten some age so I think it is nicely rounded now. There is not a lot of tannic presence. There is a good backbone however of acidity and fine tannin. Combined with this quite ripe juicy red fruit. It lingers for quite a good while on the palate, so good length. I would say it has reached a fine level of drinkability today. Should continue to develop over the coming five to seven years or so.
